Specificity of the registering
The Islands are divided into two distinct groups, which include the Northern Cook Islands of coral atoms and the Southern Cook Islands. The Cook Islands that are in free association with New Zealand is a self-governing parliamentary democracy.
For formation of company you must have at least one director and a local secretary is required (provided as a part of our Registered Agent service). The names of the director(s) or shareholder(s) do not appear on the public record. Also a company must have at least one shareholder who can be appointed as the Company’s director(s). The name of the Company must denote limited liability by ending the name with Ltd.
It takes about 5 to 6 working days to complete the incorporation of Cook Islands Company. Only the International Companies are exempted from paying taxes. Although it’s mandatory to file annual returns, there is no requirement to file financial accounts, records, or statements.The Company should only engage in activities that are not prohibited by the law.
